Sculptra Aesthetic is injected into the skin. The number of injections per treatment session will vary depending on the degree of correction you and physician decide is right for you. Your physician may use a topical anesthetic and you may experience infection site discomfort in the treatment process, However this varies from person to person. You should not receive treatment if you have an act infection or skin inflammation near the planned injection site.

Immediately after each treatment session you may experience swelling, which can give you a preview of how you may look once your shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds have been smoothed. The swelling on average subsides within a few days and the wrinkles will temporarily reappear as the gradual process of collagen replacement continues. You may begin to see progressive visible results within the first few weeks after each treatment session. Remember in order to get the most out of Sculptra Aesthetic, you should complete the full course of treatment sessions as recommended by your doctor.

Following an average of three treatments session over a few months, or as your doctor recommends can produce a more natural, younger looking appearance that can last more than two years. Sculptra Aesthetic is intended for use in people with healthy immune systems as one time treatment regimen of up to 4 injection sessions that are scheduled about 3 weeks apart of correction of shallow to deep naso-labial folds, loss of volume from the temples, cheeks and sagging skin and other facial wrinkles.


Sculptra Aesthetic should not be used if you are allergic to poly-L-lactic acid, history of keloid formation or hypertrophic scarring.

It should not be injected in an area of active skin infection or inflammation.

It should not be injected in the red area of the lip.
